The main objectives of this call for applications are to foster academic debate on the proposed theme, disseminate the topic beyond university environments, and encourage research focused on proposals aimed at reducing inequalities. In addition, it seeks to promote the recognition of works of academic excellence produced by women, encourage their dissemination, and highlight scientific contributions that are relevant to society.

Awards
The 24 best submissions will receive financial awards ranging from R$2,500 to R$15,000, depending on final ranking and the authors’ level of education.
Who can apply
Women who are currently enrolled in undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral programs at higher education institutions located in the city of Rio de Janeiro are eligible to apply.
Applications
The application form must be completed, with the required attachments (proof of enrollment and the academic article), by August 31, 2026.
Only original and unpublished academic scientific articles will be accepted.
The awarded works will be compiled into a digital publication to be organized and published by the Museum of Tomorrow, in partnership with the Municipal Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation.
