CATCH ME no presence will be ignored

“CATCH ME: no presence will be ignored” brings the idea that we constantly produce digital traces that are then used by other people or companies.

The Laboratory of Tomorrow's Activities (LAA), an area of the Museum dedicated to innovation and experimentation, presents the interactive exhibition “CAPTE-ME: no presence will be ignored”, about the new and main raw material of contemporary society: data.

In large volumes, data can convey a message that will generate new knowledge. However, this data also serves as a trace, containing information about what we do, buy, want, or like. This data is captured and used, often without us even realizing it.

"CAPTE-ME: No Presence Will Be Ignored" conveys the idea that we constantly produce digital traces that are then used by other people or companies. These concepts are presented through playful and exploratory environments, where visitors can interact with projections, sounds, and graphics that display real-time data collected from the public by sensors installed in tunnels that intersect the exhibition. Additionally, texts and videos by experts address topics such as "What is Data, Information, and Knowledge," "The Internet of Everything," and "Big Data," while tablets display visualizations generated by the flow of people around the world.

"The Capture Me exhibition addresses the importance of data in the Information Age. In the Industrial Age, there weren't many ways to improve things. Today, we have data emerging from a variety of sources: from cell phones, from the places we visit, from the computers where we access the internet. Knowing how it's generated and understanding how to use this data can directly impact our lives; we'll encourage visitors to reflect on this," explains Marcela Sabino, director of the LAA and curator of the exhibition.

About the Tomorrow's Activities Laboratory

The Laboratory of Tomorrow's Activities (LAA) has two main focuses: the effects and outcomes of traditional and exponential technologies—such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, robotics, 3D printing, and biotechnology—and the future of specific topics, such as work, urbanization, manufacturing, and food. The LAA is presented by Banco Santander, the master sponsor of the Museum of Tomorrow.
