From August 2nd to October 2nd, the Museu do Amanhã will present the photo exhibition "Sport and Brain – The Expansion of the Body through Technology," which discusses the human brain's incredible ability to incorporate artificial tools as if they were real limbs. The photographs will be on display in the Time Gallery, located on the second floor of the Museum Leading up to the Paralympic Games, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro starting in September, the public can see photographs of Brazilian para-athletes in action. Sports such as rugby, wheelchair basketball, track and field, and adapted bocce are portrayed in the images, unraveling some of the mysteries surrounding the most dynamic human organ Will we see super athletes competing with able-bodied people in the future, when the use of prosthetics by para-athletes becomes more widespread? These are questions that scientists are trying to answer, and that are gradually being elucidated The exhibition "Sport and Brain – The Expansion of the Body through Technology" is supported by the Brazilian Paralympic Committee and the MPIX agency. The scientific content was consulted by neuroscientist Cláudia Domingues Vargas of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)

Entre os dias 2 de agosto e 2 de outubro, o Museu do Amanhã apresenta ao público a exposição de fotos “Esporte e Cérebro – A Expansão do Corpo pela Tecnologia”, que discute a incrível capacidade do cérebro humano de incorporar ferramentas artificiais como se fossem membros reais. As fotos estarão expostas na Galeria do Tempo, localizada no segundo andar do Museu Tomando como gancho os Jogos Paralímpicos, que serão realizados no Rio de Janeiro a partir de setembro, o público pode conferir fotografias de paratletas brasileiros em ação. Modalidades como rúgbi, basquete em cadeira de rodas, atletismo e bocha adaptada são retratadas nas imagens, desvendando alguns dos mistérios que envolvem o mais dinâmico órgão humano Outro objetivo da mostra é provocar um amplo e necessário debate sobre inclusão no Brasil, país que, segundo o Censo, possui 45 milhões de pessoas com algum tipo de deficiência São dúvidas que cientistas tentam responder e que, aos poucos, são elucidadas A exposição “Esporte e Cérebro – A Expansão do Corpo pela Tecnologia” conta com o apoio do Comitê Paralímpico Brasileiro e da agência MPIX. O conteúdo científico teve a consultoria da neurocientista Cláudia Domingues Vargas, da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)
