4 Million Encounters Memórias do Amanhã

Millions of Encounters - Memories of Tomorrow is divided into four areas and features a video about the Museum's four years and another about the work of employees behind the scenes and operational areas that visitors cannot access, such as the basement.

On our fourth anniversary, December 17th, we will celebrate the occasion with the opening of an exhibition that tells our story and will be on display until February 20th. "4 Million Encounters - Memories of Tomorrow" is divided into four areas and features a video about the Museum's four years and another about the work of its staff behind the scenes and in operational areas that visitors cannot access, such as the basement. It will also feature a gallery of trophies from awards won over the past four years, such as the 2018 Leading Culture Destinations Awards, considered the Oscars of Museums, in the category of Best Cultural Organization of the Year for promoting 'Soft Power'; and a timeline with 30 milestones in its history, such as temporary exhibitions, events related to the 2016 Rio Olympics, seminars, and program highlights.

Our diverse audiences, including students and teachers, activity participants, neighbors, and friends of the Museum, will be featured in backlit texts throughout the exhibition. Finally, a panel featuring an educational game will be used to encourage visitor participation in our proposed reflections. Through this play on words, our Educational section invites visitors to experience the importance of living curiosity, the desire for knowledge, without the premise of answers, but rather of connecting with the world. The panel will bring together the topics most frequently mentioned by visitors in the interactive Iris+.
