Elisa Frota Pessoa Award - 2nd edition

The Elisa Frota Pessoa Award, organized by the Museum of Tomorrow, in partnership with the Municipal Secretariat of Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro, honors the pioneering work of this important scientist, experimental physicist, who had a significant role in the field of science and technology, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

In its second edition, the competition consists of the selection and awarding of up to R$15,000.00 to 24 scientific articles written by female undergraduate, master's and doctoral students in Applied Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, Exact Sciences and Humanities with the theme "Science and technology in promoting gender equality", in order to value the scientific production made by women, promote the recognition and dissemination of works of academic excellence and inspire young researchers to enter Academia, contributing to a more just and equitable society.

FOR REGISTRATION

People who identify as female, who are regularly enrolled in an undergraduate, master's or doctoral course at a higher education institution, or who have completed the course less than 1 year ago (counting from the date of publication of the notice).

In addition, at least one author of each article must be regularly enrolled in a higher education institution that has a campus in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro or have completed an undergraduate, master's or doctoral degree at a higher education institution that has a campus in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro less than 1 year ago.

The works will be evaluated by a committee of experts, carefully selected by the Museum of Tomorrow and the Secretariat of Science and Technology.
