THE COURSE The Regenerative Futures course aims to encourage the creation of collective transformation projects for more sustainable futures. Through the classes, participants will learn about and understand topics such as sustainability and regeneration, how to address futures through forecasting, foresight, and anticipation, and, finally, how to use the future to innovate in the present. The course is an initiative of the UNESCO Chair in Planetary Well-being and Regenerative Anticipation, a partnership between the Museum of Tomorrow and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. MENU The course is organized through the following topics: Nature and Sustainability; Ecosophy and Regeneration; Affective and Non-Affective Capacities; Dealing with Futures: Foresight, Prospective, Anticipation; Anticipation for Emergence and for Futures; Open vs. Closed Utopias; Unconscious Anticipation: Stem Cells, Autopoiesis, Exaptation; Intuition, Duration, and Consciousness: Bergson's Philosophy Applied to Anticipation; Regenerative Anticipation; A Time: Ancestral Futures, Seeds of the Good Anthropocene, and Futures Literacy. TEACHER Fabio Scarano is a Full Professor of Ecology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Curator of the Museum of Tomorrow, and Holder of the UNESCO Chair in Literacy in Futures, a partnership between the Museu do Amanhã (Institute of Development and Management) and UFRJ. He has authored major national and international scientific panels on climate and biodiversity. He has won two Jabuti Literature Awards in the Natural Sciences category. INFORMATION TIMELINE

O CURSO O curso Futuros Regenerativos tem como objetivo estimular a criação de projetos coletivos de transformação para futuros mais sustentáveis. Através das aulas, os participantes conhecerão e compreenderão temas como sustentabilidade e regeneração, como lidar com os futuros através da previsão, da prospectiva e da antecipação, e, finalmente, como fazer o uso do futuro para inovar no presente. O curso é uma iniciativa da Cátedra UNESCO em Bem-Estar Planetário e Antecipação Regenerativa, uma parceria entre o Museu do Amanhã e a Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.  EMENTA O curso encontra-se organizado através dos seguintes tópicos:  Natureza e Sustentabilidade; Ecosofia e Regeneração; Capacidades afetivas e não afetivas; Lidando com futuros: previsão, prospectiva, antecipação; Antecipação para Emergência e para Futuros; Utopias abertas vs. fechadas; Antecipação inconsciente: células tronco, autopoiese, exaptação; Intuição, duração e consciência: a filosofia de Bergson aplicada à antecipação; Antecipação Regenerativa; Um tempo: futuros ancestrais, sementes do bom Antropoceno, e alfabetização em futuros. PROFESSOR Fabio Scarano é Professor Titular de Ecologia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Curador do Museu do Amanhã e Titular da Cátedra Unesco de Alfabetização em Futuros, uma parceria entre o Museu do Amanhã (Instituto de Desenvolvimento e Gestão) e a UFRJ.
