Museum Spring

Spring of Museums is an annual cultural event promoted by the Brazilian Institute of Museums (Ibram), which takes place at the beginning of spring, in September

This event was created to strengthen the relationship between museums and society, promoting the appreciation of Brazilian cultural heritage. During Museum Spring, numerous activities are organized by museum institutions across the country, attracting a diverse audience and encouraging community participation

Participating museums offer special programs that may include temporary exhibitions, which showcase new collections or explore specific themes, as well as lectures and seminars. Workshops are another attraction, providing the public with the opportunity to learn even more about the event's theme. Guided tours are also a highlight, allowing visitors to have a deeper and more comprehensive educational experience of the exhibitions

Museum Spring is an opportunity for museums to connect with the local community, increasing their visibility and reinforcing their role as centers for the preservation and dissemination of knowledge. The event promotes the democratization of access to culture, the appreciation of historical heritage, and the encouragement of education and reflection on important cultural themes. Thus, Museum Spring contributes significantly to strengthening the relationship between museums and society, highlighting the importance of these institutions in promoting culture and knowledge
